My Favorite Point Guard: A YA Sweet Romance

Nothing exciting ever happened to me. And then I found out I had a secret admirer.
SWEET MOUNTAIN HIGH, YEAR 2: A SWEET YA ROMANCE   Book Four

Afton

How would I describe myself? Shy. Quiet. Introverted. Words that may as well be synonyms for invisible. Forgettable. And why not when I had an identical twin sister who was everything I was not. Our parents had named her Starr, and that’s just what she was: bright, shining, perfect. I had one claim to fame, an article in the school newspaper I’d written about my love—okay, my obsession—with 80s rom-coms.

So, when a candygram with my name on it shows up from a secret admirer, I know there’s been a mistake. Someone has confused me with my sister. It was the only explanation.

Right?

Jay

Oh, Afton . . . So little faith in herself. Why couldn’t she see what I did? She was beautiful, funny, sweet, and real. I’d developed a crush of epic proportions. Afton had lived in Starr’s shadow for so long she’d started to believe she belonged there. That’s why she needed a grand gesture worthy of the 80s rom-coms she was so in love with. And I was just the guy for the job.

Step aside, Jake Ryan, because I was about to blow Afton Marrow’s socks off!

Stephanie Street was born in Indiana, went to school in Utah, and now enjoys the quiet of a small Wyoming town. Growing up in the middle of an Indiana cornfield without cable TV there wasn't much to do. So, reading became a big part of her life. Even now, she reads at least a book a day (shh, don't tell her husband). Her love of reading morphed into a love of writing. When Stephanie isn't reading or writing she can be found eating chocolate, watching football or reality shows with her husband, playing games with her kids, or drinking Dr. Pepper. But mostly, she just avoids housework and cooking dinner.
