KC lives in Mississippi with her husband of thirty-nine years. She loves to write, read, play piano and guitar, and play with her grandkids.
KC sincerely believes that well-written Christian fiction can change lives. When a novel has strong Christian principals woven intricately into a well-written plot, the reader bonds with lifelike characters who struggle with trials, temptations, and struggles that the reader identifies with. The reader identifies with these characters because she’s been there. Everyone has fallen. That’s why everyone needs a Savior.
Then, when these same characters turn to Christ the Savior to bring them through these dark moments, the reader finds hope. KC believes the story reminds the reader why she must lean on the Lord in her trying situations. Through the book’s structure showing Christianity as the positive light for good that KC knows to be true, the reader also sees why she needs to be the hands and feet of Christ to others.
KC strives to show how the Lord uses situations, people, and His Word to bring the lost to Him, and mold, prune and grow His children. She tackles challenging situations, powerful emotions, and spiritual warfare through engaging stories and true-to-life characters.
KC’s favorite Bible verses are Philippians 2:5-8. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
KC cannot read these words without getting a lump in her throat. She strives daily to use her writing, her platform, her small influence to show others the love Christ has shown her.
KC's love of storytelling was nurtured by her large family growing up. She spent a lot of afternoons sitting on the front porch singing while her dad played the guitar. She did a lot of listening and laughing at the tall tales shared by her mother, brothers, or any neighbor who happened to stop by. She is number six of seven kids and admits her older brothers spoiled her rotten.
KC has always had a huge imagination and a love of humor. In her fifties, she finally developed the courage to put these traits in print and fling them to the world.
KC is the author of Small Town Southern Contemporary Christian Romance and Christian Cozy Mysteries.
