Lawrence

Ruby Cole has spent her entire life in Parks, Texas. Most of it behind the counter of the local diner she inherited from her late grandparents. A staple in Parks, most people stop in Sloppy’s Diner for a bite to eat and great conversation. But despite her love for the diner and the locals, Ruby debates if she should sell it and try her hand at something new. She also longs for a relationship that goes beyond just fulfilling a drink order.

Lawrence Hastings loves eating at Sloppy’s. Not only does it require a trip into town and away from the ranch, but it’s also his chance to see his lifelong friend, Ruby. His last few trips to the diner, however, bring him face to face with the new veterinarian technician who has his eyes set upon wooing Ruby, and Lawrence isn’t quite sure how he feels about that.

Can Ruby view Lawrence as more than a friend?

Can Lawrence show Ruby that their friendship can lead to love?
