Marcia Lynn McClure

But for a woman…the kiss is what owns her. It’s how she reads a man’s heart. How she knows if he truly means what he says to her. How she knows if he is in earnest…or a liar. And it’s how a man owns a woman, for the kiss of the man she wants, the man she loves, can be any woman’s complete undoing.

Marcia Lynn McClure has been called the “Queen of Kissing” for good reason. While much of her writing is as flowery and melodramatic as it comes, the kissing scenes are delectable. One cannot admit to reading McClure’s books without giggling. If you know, you know.

This particular book is one of my favorites, aside from the fact that the main character can’t go two pages without crying, and the dialogue is dripping with cheese. If you can get through Cassidy’s childish tantrums, the swoony moments are plentiful and spicy.

There might be an arranged marriage. There might be spiders, secrets, and red dresses. There might be lines so corny you bust out laughing, followed by kisses that leave you breathless. So go ahead, read this book and find out why Cassidy is always crying, and why Mason Carlisle could be the cure.

You’ll also enjoy McClure’s personal tidbits at the end of each book where she shares inside glimpses of her life that relate to the story.
