As a friend of the Duke of Hartford, Lewis Darby feels it is his duty to help the man track down his long-lost daughter, Anastasia. But the inquisitive Marquess will soon discover that his task is not an easy one… Ana Parker is content with her position as a lady’s maid, but she has always felt a little out of place.

As the investigation for the lost heiress brings Lewis and Ana close, they will find themselves inexplicably drawn to each other, until the truth is revealed and they believe they can finally be together.

But their adventure is hardly over, as there’s an enemy disguised as a friend standing between them and they’re happily ever after…
