There are a few things everyone should know about Amanda Murphy.

1. Doctors have not been able to name her undiagnosed autoimmune disease so she’s taken the privilege upon herself. Delores dictates all facets of her life including but not limited to what activities she participates in as well as being the reason she broke up with her college boyfriend years ago.
2. Because of her family’s stubborn belief that her illness is all in her head (an invisible illness is not the same as imaginary, people!), she will go to any length to keep Delores a secret from her friends lest they think she’s crazy too. That includes saying jaw-dropping things as red herrings and maybe even faking a relationship with her pro football player ex.
3. She has no idea how to sew.
