A Chance for Cookie

 LAST CHANCE BRIDES   Book Seventeen

Cecelia ‘Cookie’ Howard lived in the town of Eastham, two hours from Last Chance. She and Emmaline Mercer had been friends for as long as she could remember.

Leroy Watterson, Rachel Ashworthy’s brother, had wanted Cookie to marry him after her mother passed away, even though he was seventeen years her senior.

Cookie left Eastham, trying to get away from Leroy’s advances, and moved in with Rachel and her family.

Henry ‘Hitch’ McClain leaves Kansas to settle in Wyoming. After traveling through Last Chance, he stops an attempted abduction of Cookie by Leroy Watterson.

Hitch had no intention of staying in Last Chance, but he didn’t have a choice when he was informed that he had to wait until the circuit judge returned to town.

While waiting for the trial to begin, Hitch and Cookie are attracted to each other, but is a few weeks enough time to fall in love?

More in this series.

I was born in Wisconsin and lived there until I was eighteen. Then I spent eight years in Washington state and California before returning to Wisconsin. I love eerie places and books. I began with a love of Nancy Drew books and as I grew I found H.P Lovecraft, Poe, Agatha Christie, and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle among others. When I am not writing, I am reading or watching sunsets. Gypsy Spirits is my debut novel and the first in the series of three "spirit" books. My first supernatural mystery, THE LETTER, was released in 2013. Since then I have added eight more Kellie Conley mysteries. I decided to try my hand at a cozy mystery and released Heavenly Corners, the first in the Annie Ryan series. I took a step outside the box with Kathryn's Justice, a thriller. Western Historical Romance is my newest genre and I have added five books in the Mail-Order Brides of Gentle Falls series and took part in a few multi-author projects. I am sure my muse will guide me into a new story plot soon.
